Truth be told, while 'Live Through This' was considered a instant classic in its time, it really hasn't aged at all. And Courtney has done far too much damage to her reputation to be probably ever be more than an outside shot.

Why are they at 40%?

Hole does deserve to be in the hall of fame— if not just for the quality of their work, then for the fact that they are to this day one of the most successful female-fronted alternative rock bands of all time. I don't there's been a woman in Courtney's arena (alt/punk) who has sold the number of records her band did before or since. Like it or not, like her or not, Hole is legendary.

truth is, hole was a great band. as much as they deserve it, im certainly not looking forward to seeing courtney love acting superior to others or any other snobby behavior. not ready at all.

I like "Pretty On The Inside" and "Live Through This", but how could they induct Hole, if they haven't even inducted The Runaways, Cyndi Lauper, Sonic Youth, L7 nor The Slits?

Hole should not be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but knowing that they inducted Madonna, they'll definitely induct Hole despite the band riding on Kurt Cobain's/Nirvana's coattails.

My thinking is Hole will be inducted in RRHOF someday. Courtney's connection to Kurt will be helpful as Kurt Cobain was loved and respected in life and death. Nirvana's induction in RRHOF should keep Hole in the minds of many. Love had a powerful stage presence as a singer important for the success of many bands who later made RRHOF. The music was quite good .My FAV is Malibu. Love influenced many female singers who fronted bands later. They had enough commercial success that Hole could be nominated and inducted. KING

There is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that Hole will be inducted next year along with Pearl Jam or The Black Crowes

Mike, don't know about that. Courtney has pissed off a lot of voters (from what I've heard).

I will say that Live Through This is one badass album.

Courtney Love is a talented, intelligent and funny woman. I listened to Hole more than Nirvana when I was a teenager. Didn't even own a Nirvana CD. Her lyrics meant so much more to me as a teenage girl. Hole is the most important band with a frontwoman. I absoultely think they should be inducted.

When I listen to "Live Though This" in 2021, I feel it is one of the great albums of the 90's and it has absolute lasting power, up there with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and other bands of the same time period. The lyrics and the music are great.

Hole as a band needs to be in the RRHOF!!! Who care what C.L. Has done outside of the band. Or with in?!??!? We are talking about the music that she provided and nothing else!!! She brought grunge to music to women when it was only men!!! And didn't give a f***.

No Hole does not deserve to be in RRHOF! Not now or ever! There are too many reasons to name why they are undeserving of it and all are due to none other then CL!

Hole has one genius album, a couple of classic tracks on "Celebrity Skin" and "POTI", and a history of insane live performances. Is that enough? It should be--Lesser bands have been inducted. Add to the mix the drama of Courtney's life in the 1990s and they've already *been* the stuff of rock legend. But, I am doubtful she or the band will see it in their lifetime. There are a few reasons I could point to, but I'll just stick with the latest which is her open criticism of the RRHOF.
Here's hoping there eventually is a next Courtney record and that it recaptures some of that brilliance.
