The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has such a detestable, elitist attitude against hard rock and heavy metal. The absolute softest, pop, disco bullshit gets in but Motorhead won't. Lemmy on his death bed is more Rock than 50 percent of the inductees.

Of course!

...and metal has lost one of its all-time giants.

Rest in Peace, Lemmy.

Motorhead isn't famous or talented enough to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Trust me, they'll never get in there.

We need a good amount of hard rock and metal bands for an induction in order to make this happen including Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Bad Company, Foreigner, Boston, Judas Priest, and Scorpions; that should be enough for Motörhead to get in

List of members from Motorhead

FINAL LINE-UP

Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister – bass, lead vocals (1975–2015; his death)
Phil "Wizzö" Campbell – guitars, backing vocals (1984–2015)
Mikkey Dee – drums (1992–2015)

PREVIOUS MEMBERS

Larry Wallis – guitars, backing vocals (1975–1976; died 2019)
Lucas Fox – drums (1975)
Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor – drums (1975–1984, 1987–1992; died 2015)
"Fast" Eddie Clarke – guitars, backing vocals (1976–1982; died 2018)
Brian "Robbo" Robertson – guitars, backing vocals (1982–1983)
Michael "Würzel" Burston – guitars, backing vocals (1984–1995; died 2011)
Pete Gill – drums (1984–1987)

Once the band gets inducted at some point, will they induct up to nine or all ten members? Looks like the Hall could do that.

All the nominated members of Motorhead are dead!

The late great Ian "Lemmy" Kilminster should have been inducted as a member of Motörhead in 2015, prior to his untimely passing.

If Motörhead gets in next year, will Hawkwind receive a nomination?

Well, what do you think?

Phil 'Wizzo' Campbell and Mikkey Dee have been added to the nominated members of Motorhead

What you guys thinking of Motorhead's chances? They're doing real good on the official fan vote? You think they'll induct them with Judas Priest or will they get passed by?

I would go with either Jared Leto or Orlando Bloom

Not even getting into stuff like Madonna, the Zombies recently got in on basically two singles and an album. Motörhead had 15-20 albums, some of the greatest songs in rock history, a super iconic front man with a voice and bass playing style that stood out from everybody else in history, and they headlined hundreds of festivals for forty years. There are at least 20 acts in the hall right now--even some I like--who don't deserve it half as much as Motörhead.

Musical Excellence again?

Probably yes.

just the most awesome band ever. theyre my favorite of the current metal snubs, but Iron Maiden have more popularity acclaim and iconicity, so the next metal band will probably be them instead of motorhead but both are absolutely deserving of induction no doubt. although, maiden have also burned a lot of bridges with the rock hall, while literally everyone loves lemmy, so they might do better with voters
