Out of all the 90s rappers who should be inducted into the Hall, The Notorious B.I.G. is one of them because his gritty realism won him both respect and credibility.

Many rap artists have called him the greatest rapper of all time and while in my mind, he isn't, I can't deny his voice and the way he raps. His music is way better then a lot of the hack rappers we have today.

Just another gangsta rapper like N.W.A. Nothing special at all... At least Pac and Big L had socially conscious songs... Biggie had no redeeming value at all... Not hall of fame worthy.

Listen to "Keep Ya Head Up" by Tupac, and "Big Poppa" by Biggie. They sound very similar

If 2Pac was inducted into the RRHOF. Then Biggie is a lock for induction too.

It's 2019 and people are still repeating that old "rap isn't music" garbage. I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Anyway, B.I.G. should be a lock this year.

Biggie may or may not get in. Depends on how strong his votes are with the committee. He was always compared to 2Pac, who could be considered the rock and roll star of the hip-hop generation. Despite Biggie's success and his contributions to hip-hop, I feel he does have a lot going AGAINST him. I mean I don't think he has the same hurdles that someone like Eric B. and Rakim did. But if LL Cool J has had trouble getting in, there's not too much confidence in Biggie's chances. I'm not saying to count him out but I just don't want anyone to be surprised if he loses.

I have no problem with Biggie being nominated for the Rock and Roll HOF...as soon as Metallica is nominated for the HipHop hall of fame. Rock and hip hop are 2 different things period.

I agree 100% with Gary T. every time someone starts talking about rap artists (you mean people who can't actually sing, but talk) being included into the rock and roll hall of fame, somehow they bring up the "roots" of rap or Chuck Berry or something, which has nothing to do with the different genres of music.

For example, just google music genres and you get hip hop, jazz, rock, country, etc. There is already a hall of fame for music including country, blues, gospel, etc.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should not be a popularity contest, where great singers of any genre are admitted simply because they sold a lot of records signing pop songs or songs of other genres.

Jesus christ white rockists, it covers a wide diaspora of popular music and obviously the rap isn't rock ship sailed a long time ago. Let it go and support all viable popular music artists getting in.
